The GeGeGe no Kitarou franchise originates from the 1960's manga series by Mizuki Shigeru, though this movie is a side story of the 2007 animated series. It was produced to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Kitarou's TV animation. See also this AniDB relation graph.







SUMMARY:







Kitaro is a y�kai boy born in a cemetery. He is missing his left eye, but his hair usually covers the empty socket. He fights for peace between humans and y�kai, which generally involves protecting the former from the wiles of the latter.







Kazamatsuri Hana is being haunted by a y�kai that is trying to pull her into a mirror world. Desperately she sends for Kitarou's help via the y�kai post office. This is the start of an adventure involving the awakening of an evil power that had been sealed by King Yama. Can Kitarou protect Hana and the rest of Japan?
